An unusual porcelain saupoudreuse in the form of a vase with kakiemon decoration of herons. The body is baluster-shaped with a very pronounced grip. Finely chased laurel frieze on the mounts. The three silver parts are hallmarked with the Minerve and Lagriffoul et Laval, a silversmith highly regarded by the said porcelain manufactory. Mark with the "cor de chase" in iron red in imitation of Chantilly.
