"Table Bell From Maison Karl Fabergé Russian Work 1900, Sterling Silver Enamel, Agate & Mother-of-pearl"
Old and important table bell. Work from the beginning of the 20th century.
Agate body topped with a solid silver setting.
Frame enhanced with blue enamel in Byzantine style.
The corners are decorated with four small rubies.
Gray mother-of-pearl press button.
Around 1900, Fabergé had new premises where there were private apartments, stores, and workshops to manufacture thousands of objects thanks to more than 300 goldsmiths or jewelers.
Fabergé no longer makes anything of his own, and he will oversee these Workshop Masters.
AH hallmark for August Frederick Hollming.
In 1880 he obtained the Master's degree. He worked in his own workshop on Kazanskayastralše Street at No. 35, before moving to Fabergé's new premises at Bolschaya-Morskaya-Strafše 24. He married Gustava Abrahamson (1856-1909).
His eldest son Sohn Vaino (1885-1934) learned the goldsmith's trade in his father's workshop.
