Very original parody of a military scene representing the attack on a fortified town à la Vauban by putti on donkeys, one wearing a cocked hat and the other a grenadier bear cap, very probably from the army of Louis XVI, fleur-de-lys on the drums, an artillery putto etc...Oil on canvas in the style of trumeaux but of very good quality.
Frames of the canvas and the mirror with ribbon winding and rosettes in the corners in carved and gilded wood, oak grooves.
Late 18th century period
