Madeleine Lemaire, born Jeanne Magdelaine Colle, is a French painter, illustrator and salonnière, born May 24, 1845 in Les Arcs and died April 8, 1928 in Paris. She was one of the models who inspired the character of Madame Verdurin in Marcel Proust's In Search of Lost Time.
