Large Nuremberg Polychromed Chest 17th Century
Imposing Nuremberg chest in forged iron painted with floral motifs partly worn by wear. Inside, a splendid original plate in forged and chiseled iron, decorated with 2 half-human and half-animal figures. The lock has 10 locking points, the tips are decorated demonstrating the incredible care with which it was created for an undoubtedly prestigious client. Unfortunately the key entry mechanism has been modified over time (as can be seen from the last photo), it works perfectly thanks to a modified contemporary key
