Pair Of Japanese Cassolette Vases In Gilt Bronze With Chiseled Flowers, 19th Century flag

Object description :

"Pair Of Japanese Cassolette Vases In Gilt Bronze With Chiseled Flowers, 19th Century"
Sublime and very rare pair of large vases forming cassolettes in matt and shiny gilded bronze. This is a pair of ceremonial vases with an unusual decor. On a yellow Siena marble base, a crown of laurel leaves and fruits serves as the basis for the ovoid shape of the vase. The vase soars with artichoke buds in shiny gilded bronze. The body of the vase is in matte gilded bronze, it presents a succession of very finely chiseled bouquets of flowers in strong relief and a bronze granite in certain places. 3 stylized handles in shiny gilding. Inside the vases, a fixed brass container seems to be able to hold water. These pieces are in very good house condition, a few scuffs here and there. These are very decorative objects, either left like this or mounted as a lamp. No signature but it is certain that these are the works of a very great bronze decorator. Napoleon III period around 1870. Delivery 50 euros in France, 100 euros in the EU and 250 euros rest of the world.
