Antique Flemish painting from the first half of the 19th century. Oil on canvas artwork, first canvas, depicting a portrait of Rubens with an amazing contemporary wooden frame, carved and gilded. Octagonal-shaped painting, of nice size and pleasant decor, ideal for placing in a living room or study. Finely painted artwork, excellent quality nineteenth-century copy of the famous self-portrait by Pieter Paul Rubens (1577-1640). High quality, structurally sound frame, with a small lack of wooden decoration (curl at bottom right, see photo). Painting that is part of a pair (see photo and request the bulk price if available). Canvas that has undergone conservative restoration with three small patches on the back (see photo). Overall, the painting is in a good state of conservation with some small signs of aging. Sight size H 73 x W 60 cm.
