Two-panel iconostasis door, in richly carved and gilded wood, with motif of the Annunciation made to Mary by the archangel Gabriel. The latter announces to Mary her new status as mother of the Son of God, and explains to her that she will carry a child in her womb while remaining a virgin (Luke, 1, 26_38) Probably Central Europe, Bulgaria? 19th century.
