"Sèvres Cup Early 19th"
Cup and saucer in Sèvres porcelain, early 19th century. On a milky white background, the litron-shaped cup is painted with a musical cherub surrounded by 2 dancing young women; They are dressed in dresses with soft antique drapes. The dominant colors are blue and coral. The saucer is decorated on the wing with 4 decorative motifs in grisaille which match perfectly with the tones of the cup: 2 landscapes, a quiver filled with arrows and a gyther complete the main decoration. The cup rests on 4 golden lion paw feet. The elegant handle is also covered in gilding. Under the cup as well as the saucer is the red stamp of the Manufacture nationale de Sèvres.
