"Sèvres Cup Early 19th"
Cup and saucer in Sèvres porcelain, early 19th century. On a milky white background, the litron-shaped cup is painted with a musical cherub surrounded by 2 dancing young women; They are dressed in dresses with soft antique drapes. The dominant colors are blue and coral. The saucer is decorated on the wing with 4 decorative motifs in grisaille which match perfectly with the tones of the cup: 2 landscapes, a quiver filled with arrows and a gyther complete the main decoration. The cup rests on 4 golden lion paw feet. The elegant handle is also covered in gilding. Under the cup as well as the saucer is the red stamp of the Manufacture nationale de Sèvres. This very beautiful luminous set is very delicate and in good condition. Cup: D: 6.7cm, H: 7cm Saucer: D: 9cm
