Filled Glove Box, Napoleon III Period, In Mahogany, Bronze And Queen Marquetry
Mahogany glove box finely decorated with so-called Queen marquetry in brass and pewter on blackened wood, and decorated with bronze fittings. The box has its key and the interior is lined with red velvet. This is sold complete with the following accessories: - matching kit in silver metal including: a glove maker's pliers used to spread the fingers of the gloves, a lace puller and a shoehorn, - A pair of long gloves for colored ladies ecru, and a small pair of white children's gloves with some yellowing spots.
