Paul Eschbach (1881-1961). A student of JP Laurens in Paris, he became known very early for his genre scenes, but during a trip to Italy, attracted by outdoor painting, he began to compose pretty little seascapes, it was 1919 Shortly after, he discovered Brittany and port life, becoming President of the Concarneau Artistic Union with Barnoin. An excellent colorist, he knows how to paint Brittany with the rigorous personality of a marine painter. He taught at the Julian Academy from 1912 to 1938. Gold medalist in 1920.
