Large and elegant terracotta with a square section representing an elderly, bearded man, wearing a turban, and a large cape in which he is draped, one elbow resting on a column of ivy, at his feet a stylized fire pot with lion paws Work in the style of the 18th century, made in the 19th century, very decorative, large size, this terracotta sculpture symbolizes Winter according to François Girardon 1628 1715, it was made for the gardens of Versailles, the original in marble measuring 2.30 m, placed in the shelter, was replaced by a copy in the gardens
