Pewter PITCHER with shoulders, cylindrical body, very slightly flared throat and tasseled thumbscrew.
Unidentified maker's mark already noted associated with a city control vintage 1716: crowned hammer / PV
Height: 22.9 cm.
VITRY-LE-FRANçOIS, Before 1721, date of inspection immediately later listed

Extremely rare provenance listed in just a few copies over the last 40 years.
This pitcher of Trojan Champagne typology rests directly on the bottom, which allows us to date the mold from which it comes to the 17th century.
A Pierre VASLIN is mentioned in Troyes at the beginning of the 17th century, he is perhaps a descendant of this master.
A local crack is reported at the periphery of the bottom
