This one is Monogrammed on the Lid. This Box with Cut Sides Decorated with Enameled Plates Decorated with Flowers and Fruits. These Plates are Signed Caroline 1847. It Opens onto an Interior Trimmed with a Pretty Satin Fabric in Mauve Tones and an Engraving Representing a Lady Leaning on the Piano, Signed By Gustave Barry (1848 -1882). Piece Bearing the Label of Viardot Frères et Cie, Sculptors of HM the Empress and HH Princess Mathilde, Rue Rambuteau, 36_38 Paris. Rare Box from the Period of the Association between the Famous Parisian Cabinetmaker Gabriel Viardot and his Brother, Louis Gustave, under the name “Viardot Frères et Cie”. In 1853, he had a factory and a furniture store located at 36 and 38 rue Rambuteau.
