18th Century Cast Iron Fireplace Plate.
This 18th century plate with a double rounded cutout presents a decoration animated by two naked figures (Adam and Eve?) each holding the end of a palmette framing a coat of arms where a fleur-de-lys is surrounded by three covered pots, the together fitting into an oval surmounted by a sort of pavilion covered in a pepper pot.
