The geese. Oil on paper dated 1855 by Juliette Peyrol-Bonheur (1830-1891) representing geese in a meadow. Juliette Peyrol-Bonheur presented a painting at the Salon of 1855 called A Flock of Geese, which has not been located today, so it is possible that our work is the preparatory study for this painting. On the back, a handwritten label mentions a Medal at the London exhibition where our painter used to exhibit as well as an Exhibition of the Mazarin arts society. In its original frame. 16 x 31 cm (excluding frame)
