Extremely rare bronzes  pair representing Othello and the Emir in perfect condition with their original brown patinas of the most beautiful effects highlighted with light brown signed on the terrace by Georges Charles COUDRRAY (1862-1944). he entered the École des Beaux Arts in Paris in 1884 where he was taught by Alexandre FALGUIÈRE, Henri ALLOUARD and Gabriel Jules THOMAS. Mil exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1883 to 1890. He is known for his mythological and Orientalist subjects like our works presented here in their large size. These two works in pairs are impossible to find because they were produced by the artist in a small number of copies, especially in large models.
