Two Bronze Sculptures By Auguste Louis Lalouette (1826-1883) Representing The Duelists
Two bronze prints with golden patina representing "The Challenge" on a marble base. The duelists dressed in the fashion of the 16th century wear clothes of great refinement, sword in hand and in a challenging position with their gaze. Their posture is very elegant and they are dressed in short mid-thigh hose that reveal their bare legs, an elaborate shirt, a cape, a feathered hat and earrings.
