Artist: Mathieu Criaerd (1689-1776)
A large European lacquer chest of drawers with gold decorations on a black background of pagodas in a Chinese landscape on the front and foliage and birds on the sides. It rests on 4 curved legs and opens with two drawers without crossbars. It is topped with Aleppo breccia marble and decorated with a very rich decoration of finely chiseled bronzes gilded with mercury.
