Gondola Fireside Chair From The Directoire Period

Gondola chair, in blond mahogany from the Directoire period, late 18th century. It is a fairly unusual model, due to the simplicity of its lines, which no ornament breaks. Everything is fluid, smooth, the wood is very beautiful, highlighted by a stamp varnish redone in our workshops. The upholstery is also redone in the old style and covered with a linen canvas with very light chevrons in a very pale dove gray.
