Bronze Sculpture Representing A Bacchante Lying On A Bed
Beautiful patinated bronze sculpture representing a reclining bacchante holding a bunch of grapes above her head, in a scene inspired by Antiquity. She seems to be lying on a rock covered in a drape. Behind her, an overturned urn lets out other bunches of grapes. The whole rests on a molded mahogany base and spinning top legs. Probably French work from the second half of the 19th century.
