Sublime and important statuette of Tanagra seated on a rock. She is wearing a laurel wreath. Her arms are outstretched to play the halo. The wet drape is fine and reveals beautiful remains of blue and pink polychromy. Provenance: Former Louis-Gabriel Bellon collection (painter and archaeologist) by descent to the current heirs. Note: -The head and arms are glued back together. -The left wrist and hand are missing as well as parts of the base. -The lower part of the rear has been roughly glued back together.
