"Okimono In Ivory. Samurai Tanto. Japan Meiji Period (1868-1912)"
Superb ivory tanto rich in different sculptures on the theme of travelers passing over a bridge in restoration, at the base of the saya (sheath) and other groups observing a break with women and children as well as a hunter on a rock . Note a crack in the middle of the saya and a small missing piece. It is equipped with its ivory kozuka whose handle is decorated with a monkey hanging from a pine tree. The blade shows some traces of rust. Total length: 41cm.
