Cane Knob Ivory Sailor Whaler Captain Monster Wooden Barrel 19th Century

Old cane, pommel in marine ivory representing a sea monster ready to engulf the globe at the top of the pommel on which we see two ships hunting a whale, the captain scrutinizing them through a spyglass, above a compass rose, strapping in silver (hallmarked), wooden barrel, horn ferrule, vintage 19th century. This cane is in good condition and is of good quality. Note: small accident and restoration on the pommel (see red arrow), some cracks and scratches from time in the ivory, some slight accidents and scratches on the wood, wear from time, see photos. Specimen in worked ivory, before July 1, 1947 and therefore compliant with Regulation CE 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-Wmc.
