Exceptional Hairy Cane - Kronprinz.
Exceptional and unique cane dating from the First World War, monoxide in thorny wood and strongly knotted towards the handle. The pommel bears the image of the caricatured Crown Prince with his cap made with a metal envelope on the wood and polychromed with green, yellow and red. The face is similar to the usual caricatures of the Crown Prince. Lower down, a metal medallion in the shape of a knot held by four nails and having a free ring. Lower down, a new strapping representing a belt painted red. On the nodes of the barrel, various inlays: - an element in the shape of a bus - a cannon and its two wheels - a wagon - twigs of the same wood held by nailed metal elements representing barbed wire or rails. The barrel ends with a large metal ferrule fixed by a nail and slightly moving. If the object shows some wear and undoubtedly a missing part of the visor of the cap, this cane remains a very finished example of the art of the trenches and probably of the battle of Verdun. It remains upright, solid and without insect bites. Total length: 87 cm.
