"Pierre Achard (1748-1823). Pair Of Armchairs"
Height: 89 cm Width: 59 cm Depth: 60 cm Directoire period In gray lacquered wood with green trim, with reversed backrest, the armrest consoles in fluted baluster. They rest on fluted legs, tapered at the front, sabers at the back. Connecting dice carved with a daisy, topped with a scraper. Stamped P. Achard. The Château de Longpra in Saint-Geoire-en-Valdaine retains a series of seats attributed to Pierre Achard. A similar armchair, classified as a historic monument in 1962, is located at the Grenoble Institute of Geology.
