Couple of fishermen, oil on canvas, dimensions 38 cm x 45 cm, with its very beautiful frame 53 cm x 61 cm, workshop of Jopeh Vernet, Louis XV period. Compare to the painting by Vernet at the Lambinet museum in Versailles. Joseph Vernet born in Avignon on August 14, 1714, died in Paris on December 3, 1789, is a French painter, draftsman and engraver, famous for his seascapes. The order of 24 paintings of the ports of France, by Louis XV, (of which only 15 were made), made him famous throughout Europe.
