Japanese Carved Walnut Panel Naturalist Aquatic Deity Circa 1900
Astonishing walnut panel in low relief carved with divinity in a decoration of aquatic plants, French work around 1900 of Japanese inspiration.
It is a very blond walnut tending very slightly towards orange-red.
There are two holes at the top on the edge of the stick which surrounds the panel which must have been used to support it to be presented.
