"Harp Signed "naderman In Paris" Around 1800 Empire Period 19th"
Harp with forty-one strings and seven single-movement pedals in carved gilded and silvered black lacquered maple, signed "Naderman à Paris" on the soundboard model circa 1800 Empire period 19th century. Column, sculpted with golden fluting on a black background, topped with a capital decorated with three golden Graces in silver robes, a frieze of pearls decorated with water flowers, floral scrolls, partly decorated with a mascaron in the center high, ringed with silver stars in the lower part. Varnished maple top and ebony keys (slight crack in the lower part). Gilded wooden base carved with griffins and palmettes ending in four small claw feet. Gilding and silvering on the original leaf in very good condition (a few small old repairs) This harp retains old strings and its original black lacquer. Provenance: Château en Champagne
