Silver-plated bronze sculpture, representing a rabbit in a ball.
Iconic subject of the artist.
Vintage cast iron from Susse Frères, circa 1920.
Beautiful carving and silver patina in superb condition.
Signature of the artist and founder on the sides.
Height 5.1cm x Length 5.6cm x Width 3.4cm.
Excellent state of conservation.

BIBLIOGRAPHY: Félix Marcilhac, Sandoz figurist and animal sculptor, Les Éditions de l'Amateur, Paris, 1993, Model referenced under no. 656 and reproduced p. 373 of the catalog raisonné (ref. MAM 18/1922-2).
HISTORY: Model published by Susse Frères from January 1920 to December 1930 and produced under contract to be offered as an end-of-year gift to customers of Sandoz laboratories.
