Oil on canvas "les scoureuses" signed lower right Pauline Vallayer-Moutet (1873-1950) French artist born in Paris, she is known for her representations of scenes from the daily life of women of her time which earned her exhibitions at the Salon of French Artists in Paris, where she won an award and became a member in 1901. Her works are characterized by a soft light highlighting women in their world, with simplicity, delicacy and a multitude of details.
