Beautiful pair of molded and carved mahogany shepherdesses. Upturned backrests with lanceolate leaves, armrests with sheathed uprights topped with busts of Athenian women. Front claw feet, rear saber feet. Minted green velvet trim. To be compared to the productions of Jacob-Desmalter. Buffer varnished, usable as is. Consulate period (1799-1804).
