Interesting and rare Transition chest of drawers in violet wood veneer and rosewood decorated with stained wooden fillets on the drawers. The front is raised and opens with two drawers without a crosspiece. The sides are also raised. Base still in the Louis XV spirit, beautiful bronze shoes enclosing the front base, thus protecting it from blows! The bottom crosspiece has a “lamp base”. Beautiful original gilded bronze trim. It is covered in its original Belgian Ste-Anne gray marble. The frame is made of oak wood. Varnished with an old-fashioned stamp. Bears the stamp of Henri BOLTEN, cabinetmaker of Prussian origin, who came to settle in Paris. Received master on July 30, 1774, installed rue Montmartre then rue Neuve St-Augustin. 18th century period
