Superb and very rare old frame in very generously carved and gilded oak wood. It has an inverted profile with acanthus leaves turned over at the 4 corners and surrounded by a frieze of semi-opened flower buds. The gilding is very thick, with a very warm patina. Inside, a portrait of Christ appears to be painted in tempera on wood. This set was seen by the expert in old frames Jean-Marie Gallois (whom I sincerely thank for his kindness and his passion) who told me that it was from the end of the 16th, beginning of the 17th century. Delivery 18 euros in France, 35 euros in the EU and 80 euros rest of the world.
