Lost wax bronze - signed on the terrace - antique dark green patina - some oxidation. no scratches or shocks.Mitsutsune Miyamoto born in 1913 Tokushima prefecture (Island near Kobe).
Graduated from the Imperial Art School. student under Takashi Shimizu.
From 1936, selected for the Bunten (Salon of Fine Arts), where he exhibited throughout his career.
His training is characteristic of the pre-war period: a strong influence of European and Greco-Roman sculpture. In fact, he had Takashi Shimizu as his master (a figure of the Montparnasse School).
He will have his own school of sculpture from the 1960s. His style will evolve towards smoother shapes and volume.
Many of his sculptures are on display at the Mount Myoken Sculpture Park in Naruto City.
