Dressed engraving from the 18th century representing Saint Augustine, Doctor of the Church, after the work of Philippe de Champaigne executed around 1650, captioned in the lower register (subject to reservation): "St Augustines Doctor of the Church was born in Tagaste city of Africa in the Year of our Lord 355 on November 23 in the 19th year of the Empire of Constance son of Patrice and St. Monica died in the year 432 on August 26, on which day the Church celebrates its feast. Engraving located in Paris at (illegible). In a gilded wooden frame (small restoration), with its old window. Dimensions: height 31 cm, width 21.5 cm. Good condition.
