"The Wild Boar Attributed To F. Snyders (1579-1657)"
Oak woodwork panel depicting a boar's head with a dog's head oil painting work attributed to Frans Snyders (1579-1657) student of Pieter Bruegel the Younger and Hendrick van Balen, specialized in still life and one of the first animal painters: he is credited with initiating a wide variety of new still life and animal subjects in Antwerp. He is a regular collaborator of great Antwerp painters such as Peter Paul Rubens, Antoine van Dyck and Jacob Jordaens.
