Louis XV-pompadour Style Marble Fireplace
A Louis XV-Pompadour style fireplace, made out of the highly valued Bleu Fleuri marble, during the second half of the nineteenth century, ca.1875.
The model is a 'Pompadour', 'en l'honneur de madame'. The frieze is decorated with the characteristic oval medaillon in the center (with a bronze, if you like). The canted and curved legs are panelled and on top decorated with scrolls. The Bleu Fleuri marble was in the past used for the same purpose as Bleu Turquin, but was from a greater luxury. The Bleu Fleuri marble was sold in the nineteenth century at the same price as the Brèche Violet. We have also original foyertiles in stock, for every fireplace the right style. Worldwide shipping. Delivery in Europe can be done by us: 'In House Delivery'.
