"Ratapoil Bronze Lost Wax Fictional Character Honoré Daumier Early 20th Careful Reproduction"
A lovely ratapoil after Honoré Daumier, this lovely detailed bronze is the fictional character of Honoré Daumier created in March 1850; He has a gaunt figure with his large hat and frock coat blowing in the wind. His fine face bears a large mustache and a pointed goatee; he stands very candidly with his large walking stick which he holds in his right hand while his left hand holds his coat. Presented on a red gray veined marble base from the Ardennes it looks great. A beautiful showcase bronze which in itself carries the weight of the 19th century and the depths of Paris, quite a legend, a careful reissue from the early 20th century with a beautiful patina and well detailed in a nervous bronze
