The “Tommy” glass was born in 1928, for the tenth anniversary of the armistice of the Great War. It is named in reference to the British soldier. This blown crystal glass with its long neck and star base evokes the pleasures of royal tables. It was his presence, during a gala lunch given in 1938, in honor of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, in the Hall of Mirrors of the Palace of Versailles, which made him a icon of the famous French crystal factory Saint-Louis. A hundred years later, this glass continues to fascinate with its elegance and its work: cut parison in the shape of diamonds, bevels, nets or pearls.
