COD 0836Ancient Flemish painting from the second half of the 17th century. Oil on canvas framework depicting an interior scene with characters of excellent pictorial quality. The scene represents the hosts (on the left) who surprise their guests with a delicious unscheduled snack. Note the painter's ability to depict the emotions and reactions on the faces of the characters. Framework attributable to the circle of the painter Egbert Von Heemskerck (1634-1704), lacking authentication. Beautiful size painting adorned with a 20th century frame, in wood and plaster, carved, gilded and lacquered. Ideal framework for a living room, sitting room or studio, for antique dealers, interior decorators and collectors of ancient Flemish art. Painting that has undergone a conservative restoration, relining, replacement of the frame and color recovery in some points (see picture). Overall in good condition. Sight size H 65.5 X W 84.5 cm
