Déméter CHIPARUS 1886/1947 leading artist of the Art Deco period, Déméter Chiparus born in Romania trained in Italy and Paris where he settled in 1912. After the First World War, he asserted himself as the reference of a style enriched with oriental evocations by the creation of works with an irreproachable technique. This sculpture in regula and composite material 1925/1930. Signature on the DH Chiparus marble.
