Oil on canvas painting from the 1930s and 1940s by Auguste Durand Rosé representing absinthe drinkers in a cabaret. Expressionist school for this typed painting completely in the palette of this very good painter, student of Émile Bernard and friend of Maurice de Vlaminck, Albert Marquet Othon Friesz. Born in Marseilles in 1887 died in Paris in 1962 he exhibited at the Salon D Automne in 1922 and at the Salon des Indépendants in 1928 and 1929. His dealer was Ambroise Vollard.
