Sideboard In Lacquered Wood, China - Mid 20th Century

Asian sideboard in lacquered wood dating from the mid-20th century. It has two doors, surrounded by gilded motifs, with recessed panels embellished with relief compositions of branches, foliage and stone birds. These doors are equipped with pendants and brass rings allowing blocking. The interior offers two shelves on cleats, three identical drawers, with a chiselled drop, decorated with volutes and golden foliage, as well as a niche. The sides, in the same style, have similar applied patterns. The lower part, moulded, rounded and projecting, rests on four small animated feet. This sideboard claims with charm and poetry its oriental origin, it will certainly please for its style and its size.
