Pretty oval dish in white metal, representing a naked young woman lying down, signed J.Garnier, from the Art Nouveau period, late 19th and early 20th centuries. This dish is in good condition. A note: Some small scratches and wear of time, see photos. Length 32cm, width 22cm. - Jean Garnier (1853 - 1910) sculptor, enameller, chaser, of Vendée origin. Self-taught with complete knowledge, he also signed enamel jewelry. Artist active at the end of the 19th century. Appeared at the Salon of French Artists where he obtained an honorable mention in 1892 (Bénézit extract).
