"Large Coffee Table In Wrought Iron And Stone Marquetry In The Style Of Gilbert Poillerat"
Large square coffee table in the style of Gilbert Poillerat (1902-1988) in lacquered, gilded and oxidized wrought iron. Gilbert Poillerat is a French decorator and master ironworker. His work, often inspired by the art of the 17th and 18th centuries, is the hallmark of French elegance. He also excels in the art of chasing medals. The top tray is made of stone marquetry in different shades of color with geometric patterns reminiscent of Italian coffee tables in stone marquetry. This table, totally rooted in the 20th century, perfectly combines French elegance and a Hollywood regency spirit à la Roméo by Claude Dalle. Note a scratch on the board.
