Art Deco Glass Paste Vase 1930 Lorrain Wrought Iron
Imposing vase in glass paste and wrought iron Paul DAUM (1888-1944) for the Lorrain art glassworks. Ironwork vase in orange-yellow glass speckled with red blown in a wrought iron frame. Unsigned but listed vase of Lorraine glassware. Art Deco 1925 / Height 30.5 cm - Diameter 17.5 cm Bibliography: Giuseppe CAPPA "the glass genius of Europe" Mardaga dprimont 1998 pp 326 to 328. In the early 1920s, Paul DAUM (the son of Auguste DAUM) opens the Belle Étoile Daum et cie glassworks in Croismare. Active until 1936, this company signs its "Lorrain" pieces.
