COD 0831Antique pair of Italian paintings from the second half of the 17th century. Frameworks of the Venetian school, oil on canvas, depicting farmyard animals of excellent pictorial quality. Paintings of beautiful size and proportion adorned with a non-coeval frame, from the 20th century, finely carved and gilded (see picture). Pendant of excellent quality paintings, one characterized by the presence of a landscape in the background, the other with only the animals in the foreground. Numerous animals inserted by the painter, finely represented in the smallest details (see picture). Both have on the frame an old reference to the Venetian painter Giovanni Agostino Cassana (circa 1654-1720) lacking authentication or additional documentation. Paintings that have undergone a conservative restoration, relining, replacement of the frame and color recovery in some points (see picture). Paintings overall in good state of conservation.
