Oil on canvas representing a hilly landscape by Venance Curnier, French painter known for his landscapes, born in Lyon in 1885 and died in Albigny-sur-Saône in 1971.Signed lower right.
Good condition, some paint touch-ups at sky level.

Venance Curnier was a student at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Lyon in the class of Castex-Desgranges, then was a professor at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Lyon.
In 1925, he joined the Ziniars group and was one of the founders of the Salon du Sud-Est.
