Désiré Girard (June 24, 1862 – July 1938), “Massacre”, still life with game Oil on canvas frame: 71 cm x 58 cm Superb old stucco frame gilded with leaf, frame dimensions: 94.5 cm x 81.5 cm Price not negotiable. Provenance: the paintings presented under the reference AG+number in title come from the personal collection of a passionate and meticulous amateur; the tables have been cleaned by a professional and very carefully preserved. Any shiny areas on the photos are the reflection of the varnish under artificial light; the state of conservation of each painting is excellent. Painter from Salon, from the Provençal School, who lived in Salon-de-Provence, rue Auguste Moutin. In 1913, the municipality of Salon entrusted him with the restoration of the hall of honor of the Cercle des Arts et des Lettres (1842), rue des Spinners of silk.
